OUR JOURNEY

The Assemblies of God Church, Kollam was established in 1951. The pioneering members, Br. P.T. Mathai and Br. K.O. Samuel, were joined by Pastor M. K. Samuel, who became the church's first Pastor. Initially, gatherings were held in a rented house in Asramom. Following Pastor M.K. Samuel's tenure, Pastor G. Samuel (Mavelikara) assumed leadership. Through his efforts and the fervent prayers of the believers, the church managed to acquire 55 cents of land in Asramom. God's blessings continued to flow, and under the leadership of Pastor P. D. Thomas, the property in Asramom was eventually sold. In 1976, the congregation moved to its current location. In 1999, Pr. S. Thomas took charge, overseeing the demolition and renovation of the old church building. This resulted in the creation of a more spacious and convenient church building that stands today. The church currently comprises 107 families as members.
